Harold Sims Memorial

Christmas Food Basket Fund

A service targeting the needs of the elderly on the near west-side of Indy.

Provide a Christmas Food Basket to an elderly neighbor in need for only $75.00

The Harold Sims Memorial Christmas Basket Program originated in 1982 by Harold Sims Cabinet Company and other west-side merchants and a list of donors to insure a food basket was delivered or available for pickup on Christmas Eve morning to those in need living on the near west-side in the borough’s of “Haughville, String Town, Mt Jackson, The Valley, and The Hill”. Harold and most donors have passed on, but Becky Sparks, Harold’s daughter, and I have been carrying on the west-side tradition with a focus on the elderly residents to insure they have a Christmas meal. Names of those in need are compiled by Mary Riggs and the Hawthorne Center.

Hoping you keep us in mind – Baskets average $75.00 each. We will be accepting donations beginning December 1st by PayPal at our website www.Christian-Endeavors.com
